At the LTTE HQ in Killinochi. North Sri Lanka

This picture was shot by Nilanjan, at the media office of the Tamil Tiger rebels in Killinochi. A life size picture of LTTE chief V. Prabhakan hangs over the lobby.

This office is just a few meters away from the LTTE's peace secretariat in the heart of Killinochi, some 350 kilometers north of Colombo.

This stair way leads to the office of the LTTE's spokesman Thaya Master. Thaya Master was in news recently after he was rushed to the Apollo Hospital in Colombo to treat an urgent heart condition.

In a controversial move the Sri Lankan President agreed to his family's request to let him cross the ceasefire line for urgent medical treatment. He was given security cover by the Sri Lankan government.

During this visit, Thaya gave me a book called " Women Fighters of Liberation Tigers" by Adele Ann also know an Adele Balasingham. He also gave me a dozen DVDs about the activities of the various arms of the LTTE.
