Into Pre-Eid Traffic with Our Friend Abdul Kareen

Abdul Kareem from my office was waiting for me at the Doha Airport, and drove me to my Hotel just a few kilometers away through pre-Eid traffic. "It is not so crowded in the mornings, but now it is a holiday and people are going to their friends and family...so it is rush." Kareem said.

Kareem is from Balochistan in Iran and speaks 7 languages fluently including Urdu and Mambaiya Hindi. " Main India bahut bar gaya hoon, par Dilli nahi aaya" he said.

"Aap mere mehman bankar aaiye is bar" I replied.

" Ignore the pavements here, they will look very good in a few weeks time. They are being renovated for the Asian games. It will be done in time Inshahallah." Kareem offered.

"And there is a lot of construction happening in Doha now. It is hectic.'" he added.
