Sri Lankan's Army Commander Resumes Duties

The commander of the Sri Lankan Army Lt General Sarath Fonseka has resumed his official duties . The Army website said he has made a full recovery after many weeks in hospitals in Sri Lanka and Singapore.

He survived a Tamil Tigers suicide attack on the 25th of April at the Army headquarters in Colombo.

A female suicide bomber flung herself on the convoy of the army chief as it was moving out of the high security army headquarters.

Disguised as a pregnent woman, the bomber gain access into the military hospital adjecent to the military Headquarters. Posted by Picasa
