SLMM Moves Office Out of Trincomalee

Thorfinnur Omarsson, a spokesman for the 57 member Nordic Sri Lanka Monitoring mission has confirmed to this writer that its 6 member team based in the restive eastern district of Trincomalee has moved its office out of Trincolmalee town.
" Last night a shell exploded just 200 meters away from where the SLMM staff stay. It is just too dangerous now. We have decided to shift the office to Habarena in East Central Sri Lanka." Omarsson said.
"We will however, continue to operate in the region, we have just shifted our office ." he added
SLMM monitors had been staying in a hotel located at Nilaveli, about sixteen km off north of Trincomalee on Trincomalee-Pulmoddai road
