The Twin Towers shot by Nilanjan

This is the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The 88 storey Petronas twin towers were collectively the largest buildings in the world from April 96 to October 2003.

These towers rise to an incredible 1483 feet in height and cost about one and half billion dollars to construct.

This glass and streel structure has a floor plan based on an eight pointed star.

The Towers symbolise strength and grace using geometric principles that are typical of islamic architecture.

The towers are joined at the 41 and 42nd floors, some 175 m above street level by a 190 ft long double decker skybridge. Posted by Picasa
