Presenting Jency Jacob

Jency Jacob was in the local train at Khar on the 11 of July 2006 when a bomb went off just two compartments ahead of the one in which he was travelling.

He was the first to report the serial Mumbai blasts in the world.

Within minutes he was not only telling viewers of CNN IBN, the channel he works for and CNN International, but also dozens of radio and television channels across the world.

Jency is immensely talented and started as an intern in the Mumbai Bureau of Zee News in 2001. I was the bureau chief at Mumbai for Zee at that time.

He is one of the best young business journalists on Indian television today. From monetary and economic policy to the stock markets...this ace reporter has been there done that.
More pictures of him follow. This picture was shot in Abu Dhabi, while Jency was there on assignment recently. Posted by Picasa
