Poem

State

Rajesh Sundaram

In outer space

Untouched by sound waves, life...and possibly death

Playing God...amazing pace

Insulated.

But is anyone safe?

Half imagined, half real...what a horrible daze.

Adrift

aDRIFT

Rajesh Sundaram

Middle of the stupid season,

the inert transient phase

No urge to snap out of it,

just waiting for the season to change

Adrift, lead by a current

in a stagnant impotent drain

A Goat Tied to a Lamp Post Near an Egg Sellers Stall

There is a lot of drama in this picture I took at old Delhi. A mother and her infant wait, as the stall owner takes eggs out of a kettle. Another woman stands in queue.
Some men sit on the pavement eating boiled egg and salt...as the goat looks on.
