Child Workers Toil in Brass Factories Across Moradabad
It is an offence to employ children below the age of 14 at homes and factories in India. But that does not stop unscrupulous factory owners in Morababad to employ them at these small foundries making brass artifacts. Most of the children are forced to work here till their parents are able to pay off the loans they have taken from the factory owners.
Clearly authorities are looking the other way. These factories are full of hazards...and many children end up with tuberculosis, burns and other diseases.

Children and my Cellphone camera
These children are fascinated by pictures I took of them on my cellphone. Before I knew it I was surrounded by dozens of children at this Village near the UN designated Maoist barrack near Janakpur in South Nepal. Shaun took this picture.
